Marionka Pohl leads Save the Children's Global Health Policy and Advocacy portfolio including on child survival, the climate change and health nexus (especially related to displaced and migrating children), health system strengthening with a primary health care approach and health financing. Prior to this Marionka led Save the Children Germany’s global health policy and advocacy work, advised a member of the German parliament on international relations and built up a community organisation furthering marginalised groups (including refugees) access to essential services such as health. She is an outstanding expert on global solutions and trends in the global health sector and has a profound knowledge of policy frameworks and trends at global and national level. Marionka frequently speaks at global conferences and events and sits on the board of Médecins du Monde Germany.
