Elsara Badri is the Co-Executive Director of the Global Alliance on War, Conflict, and Health (GAWCH), where she leads strategic planning, governance, and research initiatives. With over two decades of combined experience in public health, conflict resolution, disaster management, and academia, she has worked with organizations such as the UNDP, the EU, the Strategic Initiative for Women in the Horn of Africa (SIHA), and Ahfad University for Women. She is also affiliated with the Sudanese American Medical Association (SAMA) as a member of its Advisory Board and has contributed to initiatives with the Clinical Informatics Research Unit (CIRU).
Elsara holds a Master of Public Health from the American University of Beirut and a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Administration from the Institute of Social Studies in the Netherlands. Fluent in Arabic, English, Spanish, and Portuguese, she is a dedicated advocate for global health, education, and humanitarian issues.
