Kelvin Hui is currently working as a Digital Health and Social Protection advisor in GIZ. In this position, his primary mission is to implement GIZ’s digitalization strategic plan in the health and social protection thematic area. He provides technical advice to GIZ health and social protection projects globally, supporting them in adopting innovative digital solutions to achieve project goals. He is based in Cambodia where he also serves as a component manager in the GIZ Health project there. The project’s goal is to support the Government of Cambodia in the implementation of the national social health protection reform agenda. In this function, he leads the project’s health financing related work. Prior to this, he worked in various German Development Cooperation health system strengthening projects over the last 15 years in multiple countries across Asia, with project management and advisory roles. Before specializing on health and development cooperation, he worked as an IT consultant in his native country Malaysia where he supported digitalization efforts of companies from different industries. His educational qualifications are in Public Health and Computer Science.
