Dr Louise Kelly-Hope is a Reader in One Health at the Institute of Infection, Veterinary and Ecological Sciences, University of Liverpool (2021–present). Prior to this, she was based at the Center for Neglected Tropical Diseases, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (2007–2021). She has extensive research and training experience in epidemiology, focusing on tropical disease biology, ecology, surveillance, and control across more than 20 countries in sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region. Her current research focuses on the landscape ecology and applied epidemiology of vector-borne diseases, neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), and complex emergencies related to conflict and natural disasters in the context of environmental and climate change. Dr Kelly-Hope serves on several expert committees and is dedicated to strengthening the capacity of MSc/PhD students, scientists, and public health stakeholders from both the UK and NTD-endemic countries.
