Senior Ethics Officer, World Health Organization , Switzerland Andreas Alois Reis (MD, MSc) is the Co-Lead of the Global Health Ethics Team in the Department of Innovation, Evidence and Research at WHO in Geneva, Switzerland. After medical studies and practice in internal medicine in Germany, France and Chile, he pursued studies in health economics and obtained a post-graduate degree in biomedical ethics. His main area of work is public health ethics with focus on ethics and infectious diseases. He has lectured and organized trainings for WHO in more than 40 countries, has published widely and is the co-editor of three books on bioethics and public health ethics.
