About Neil Bernard

Pastor Neil Bernard leads New Wine Christian Fellowship in LaPlace, Louisiana, where faith meets frontline climate action. As Chairman of the St. John Parish Long Term Recovery Group, he coordinates partnerships helping communities in the Greater New Orleans area recover and build disaster resilience. Bernard oversees the New Wine Community Lighthouse—Louisiana's largest solar + battery microgrid. The facility provides cooling relief, charging stations, and heat safety resources when power grids fail. At the intersection of faith leadership and climate resilience, Bernard offers a distinctive perspective on protecting vulnerable people. His World Health Summit presentation draws from lived experience serving communities on climate's front lines.
