Kieran Daly oversees the foundation’s engagements with key global health institutions (WHO and UNICEF) and major funds. His team promotes greater alignment and collaboration among those institutions, including on product access, health systems strengthening and pandemic preparedness His role includes acting as the board/governance member representing private foundations for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria; Global Financing Facility; Unitaid; and the Pandemic Fund.
After joining the foundation in 2011, Kieran served in policy and grantmaking roles in areas including HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, neglected tropical diseases, pandemic preparedness and response, and global health R&D.
Earlier, he held roles from CEO to senior advisor at various nongovernmental health organizations. He has extensive experience in multilateral, international, and national health financing, programming, policy, and advocacy.
Kieran has an academic background in development economics and anthropology, with an M.Sc. in development from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London.
