David C. Grolman

Dr. David Grolman was previously Director of Emergency Medicine, Trauma Surgery and Critical Care at the Life Fourways Hospital and Sandton Medi-Clinic in Johannesburg, South Africa and was in clinical practice for about 20 years. He was a lecturer in Trauma Surgery and in Intensive Care at Wits University Medical School, the Johannesburg Academic Hospital, the Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital in Johannesburg and for the Council of the Critical Care Society of Southern Africa. Currently David is the Medical Director and Head of Medical Affairs for the Global Established Pharma Business of Pfizer Australia and Pfizer New Zealand, after joining Pfizer initially 5 years ago as the Associate Medical Director for Specialty Care in Australia and the Anti-infectives Medical Lead for Asia-Pacific. David has been a regular invited guest lecturer at numerous national and international congresses. His areas of expertise are nosocomial infections, severe surgical sepsis, bacterial antibiotic resistance, pain management and trauma critical care.
