Pablo Vega is a Physician from the Universidad de Chile and a Master of Public Health candidate at the same university. He has worked in public health in the investment unit of the Regional Health Service, developing new hospitals in the metropolitan area, and is currently a Chief of cabinet at the National Health Fund (FONASA). As medical student he was part of the international board of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations, working in diverse topics in global health. He cooperates with the School of Public Health in the global health programme. He was the coordinator of the meeting “Accelerating Political Support for the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals” that took place in Santiago, Chile, in July 2017, which was organised by the Government of Chile, PAHO, IDRC, Think_SDGs, and ALASAG.
