Mauro Brero

Mauro Brero is UNICEF’s Senior Adviser for food systems for children and the prevention of childhood overweight and obesity at UNICEF Headquarters, bringing over 20 years of experience in public health nutrition across Africa, Latin America and globally. He is recognized for his leadership in spearheading policy advocacy and program design to advance a systemic response for the prevention of all forms of malnutrition. Mauro holds a master’s degree in public health and nutrition epidemiology and a bachelor’s in medical anthropology. He has an extensive publication record and is a leading voice in his field.
