About Samuel Knauss

Dr Samuel Knauss is a Berlin based neurologist, global health researcher, and social entrepreneur working at the intersection of global value chains and healthcare access. He co founded Elucid Social, which enables companies in the global value chain to co finance healthcare for smallholder farmers and generate anonymized social and health data to support ESG and human rights due diligence reporting. He also co founded mTOMADY, a digital health financing platform used to deliver and track care at the last mile. As Managing Director at Elucid Social, he leads partnerships with buyers and producers to improve farmer well being, resilience, and productivity. Trained at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin with additional studies at Harvard Medical School and Northwestern University, Samuel co-leads the Global Digital Last Mile Health Research Lab at the Charité Center for Global Health and the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health.
