Timuçin Bilgör

Timuçin Bilgör graduated from Boğaziçi University Business Administration Department and then studied Politics at Heidelberg University in Germany. Bilgör was among the founder partners of Yemeksepeti.com in the 2000s. which is Turkey's first and largest food ordering platform. Yemek sepeti was sold to Delivery Hero in 2015 at a value of $ 565 million. In the same period, he founded Tim Contact Media Agency and MedyaClick; and afterwards, he was one of the investors of the DoubleClick company which was bought by Google. In 2004, he began to be interested in the patented technology and moved to the UK. Bilgör invested in 19 patents, with two initiatives Submedia Europe and Innovative Media UK which he founded in England. With the Technology Transfer Offices (TTO) in Turkey, he expedited his studies on patenting and commercialization of technology that became a candidate for commercialization. He started works with Intellectual Ventures which is the world's largest patent fund, and he received it’s Turkey distributorship in 2015. In 2014, Bilgör founded 'Boğazici University Angel Investor Network (BUBA) that is the first university-based angel investment network in Turkey. BUBA has become the strategic partner of Garanti Bank and Vodafone in the field of entrepreneurship. In December 2015, it received the best Angel Investment Network award in Southeast Europe. At the same time, he was a participant and sponsor of Intellectual Property (IP) Conferences initiated at Bogazici University to spread the intellectual, industrial and property rights throughout the country. In 2016, with the cooperation of the Stanford Research Institute (SRI), Bilgör began to work on the commercialization of technological products in the international market in Turkey. He is the cofounder of Sistem Global Patent (SGP) which is the Turkey's first patent valuation firm, and he continues to work for the commercialization of patent technologies. Timuçin Bilgör is the founding partner and chairman of the Board of Directors. BCB Management Consultancy Inc. was established in Bogazici University in 2017. Timuçin Bilgör teaches entrepreneurship to senior students at Boğaziçi University Faculty of Business Administration since 2014
