Grace Mwasuka is a social worker specialized in children and family welfare. She received her Master degree in Social work at the Open University of Tanzania. She has also received specialized trainings on Community Based Rehabilitation and inclusion through Eneblement training organization in the Netherland.
Grace is the disability and rehabilitation advisor at DAHW Tanzania office. She has over 15 years of experience in a variety of settings and with diverse groups, including influencing policy and decision makers at central and Local government. She has also designed and developed successfully community based inclusive development programs that empowers people with disabilities and promote inclusion in the rural communities of Tanzania.
Grace is an active member of Tanzania Social workers association , has also published in the Leprosy review journal a paper on community empowerment leprosy in Tanzania (2017). She believes that change happens when people are given opportunity and guidance they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling life. ‘community problems and community solution’
Grace enjoys contributing to the profession of social work and to the community at large through volunteer work.
