Yadeta is a young energetic public health expert working at Haramaya University College of Health and Medical Sciences. He is a PhD Degree holder and is an Associate Professor of Public Health. Over the last twelve years, he has been serving the college at different capacities. He has been teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students since 2005 and has supervised more than 50 master students and supervising two PhD students. He has lead various research projects of different calibers and participated on several international and national research trainings. Yadeta has won several grants both from national and international funding organizations and has made several oral and poster presentations on international and national forums. Yadeta has authored and co-authored more than 25 articles on reputable journals addressing different public health and clinical health matters. In his administrative experience, he had worked as a Director for Research and Publication Office from 2009 to 2013 and has been working as a Chief Executive Director at the rank of vice-president since December 1, 2015. With the above position, Yadeta has been leading about 3000 employees engaged in teaching, research and hospital clinical services. Since taking the position, he has lead various transformative changes of the college, university and surrounding community in teaching, technology transfer and provision of health care services through the university referral hospital called Hiwot Fana Specialized University Hospital. Yadeta is also serving as chair and secretary in various boards and committees in the university and the neighboring regional administrations.
