Dr. Vanny Peng is a medical doctor and public health specialist with over 15 years of experience in Cambodia's health system. He has been a senior health advisor at GIZ for the past 10 years, focusing on strengthening the health system and social health protection. He has assisted the Ministry of Health in developing policies and standards on health quality, health system governance, community health engagement, and other health system interventions. He has also been responsible for mainstreaming project interventions to include people living with disabilities in accessing health services. He has collaborated with different key stakeholders to improve health services delivery for people living with disabilities. He worked with the World Bank team in Cambodia for 2 years on designing a conditional cash transfer project and social protection system. Dr. Peng was the deputy project director of the USAID-funded Health System Strengthening Project in Cambodia, which was implemented by URC (University Research Co., LLC).
