Professor Dale Fisher is an infectious diseases physician who first moved to the National University Hospital, Singapore in March 2003 during the SARS outbreak. Since then he has become increasingly involved in international outbreak response and is the current Chair of the steering committee of WHO’s Global Outbreak Alert & Response Network. He is also chair of Singapore’s National Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) committee and was one of 12 international technical experts who visited China in February to investigate the COVID-19 outbreak. He has authored around 200 peer-reviewed publications.
