Dr. Harsh Bhardwaj completed his MBBS from the University of Delhi in 2012. Post that he
worked at the grassroots of the problem in the delivery of healthcare at urban slums in
metropolitan cities like Delhi, rural areas like Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh and remote areas like
Joshimath in Uttarakhand, each area comes with their own set of challenges. Working at
intersections of healthcare delivery and policy advocacy, Dr. Harsh comes with a unique
understanding of problem areas that need attention for ensuring Universal Health Coverage in
India. He co-organised “Digital Health Governance - A dialogue on health governance and policy”
focussing on a unique approach to adopt models for healthcare delivery, innovation and financing.
Addressing issues like target and challenge-based innovations, testbeds for innovations and their
adoption, unique financial models like cooperative models, data ownership and monetisation by
patient groups, application of social impact bonds in healthcare, 'Digital Health Governance'
brought together Indian and International leaders on the same platform. He understands that in a
unique situation such as that of India with diverse ethnocultural beliefs and practices, it is
important to have a wide lens view and sufficient a/b testing to achieve Universal Health
Coverage. He works with entrepreneurs and NGOs towards achieving optimum solutions for
healthcare delivery.
