Martin Blohmer represents the non-profit organization Young Leaders for Health (YLH), of which he has been a member since 2016. YLH provides an interdisciplinary platform for the exchange and generation of knowledge, the development of innovative, sustainable and equitable projects in the field of global health, with an emphasis on health systems. At YLH, Martin‘s work focuses on improving global health by combatting non-communicable diseases and improving mental health. Martin has a strong background in digital health, which he thinks is crucial for tackling the problems our health care systems are facing in the 21st century. It is his belief that the voices of students and young professionals need to be heard when discussing all global matters, especially health. In addition to his work at YLH, Martin is involved in cancer research, wanting to elucidate the metastatic cascade of breast cancer.
