David Loew is currently Executive Vice-President, Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines Global Business Unit of Sanofi, and a Member of the Executive Committee, Sanofi. Sanofi Pasteur manufactures and markets a diverse portfolio of vaccines for children, adolescents and adults, including influenza, meningitis, travel and endemic diseases. Sanofi Pasteur is a world leader in influenza and pediatric vaccines, and the first worldwide supplier of polio injectable vaccine. The vaccines help protect as many as half a billion lives each year against life-threatening diseases.
David joined Sanofi in 2013 as Senior Vice-President, Commercial Operations, Europe, responsible for the pharmaceutical business across 38 countries. Before working for Sanofi, he spent 20 years with Roche, latterly as Region Head, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa and Global Chief Marketing Officer for the pharmaceutical division. He started career in the US at Coopers & Lybrand and Hewlett Packard.
David Loew holds a Master’s in Economics and Business Administration, University of St. Gallen (HSG), Switzerland. He is a Member of the Vaccine CEO Steering Committee, International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA) and a former Member of the Board, GAVI.
