Piya Hanvoravongchai

Dr. Piya Hanvoravongchai is a lecturer at the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, an assistant director of the Thailand Research Center for Health Services System, and a program director of the Equity Initiative at the CMB Foundation in Bangkok. He is a member of Thailand National Health Reform Committee and the Thai National Health Workforce Commission. He previously sat on the financial development committee and the evaluation committee of Thailand Health Security Board and the medical committee of Thailand Social Security Fund. At the regional level, he is a member of the Strategic Technical Advisory Committee of the Asia-Pacific Observatory on Health Systems and Policy. Prior to joining Chulalongkorn University, he worked at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, World Health Organization, and Harvard University. Piya received his M.D. from Mahidol University, his Master's degree from the London School of Economics and his doctoral degree from Harvard School of Public Health.
