Roland Driece is the director for International Affairs at the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports in the Netherlands. He has a long standing history as a global health leader. Amongst other things, he served as health attaché for the Netherlands in Geneva, led the EU Presidency of The Netherlands in 2016, was a member of the EU Steering Board for the procurement of Covid-19 vaccines, served twice as a Bureau member to the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, was until recently co-chair for the INB negotiations for a pandemic treaty and is still the Netherlands representative in the Board of the EU Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA).
