Maximilian Alber works at the intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare. He is the Co-Founder and CTO of Aignostics, an AI company spun out of Charité Berlin and based in Berlin and New York that turns complex biomedical data into transformative insights for leading biopharma companies. In high school, Max was recognized for excellence in computer engineering at the National and International Olympiad for Informatics. He went on to co-found Aignostics in 2018 after earning his Ph.D. in machine learning at the Technische Universität Berlin under Klaus-Robert Müller. Max’s research has been featured in journals like JMLR and at conferences such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML. Max currently leads the technology organization and overall ML strategy at Aignostics, with a focus on deriving insights for drug discovery, translational research, and clinical trials. Most recently, Max led development for Aignostics’ industry-leading foundation model for histopathology.
