Mr Monti has extensive experience from people-intensive businesses in many diverse international environments and from leading transformation and change in various contexts, taking use of his ability to engage people across cultures. He has for many years been part of the global leadership at IKEA, during the last years as board director at the mother company and global head of the IKEA Concept and before that as President in South & East Europe. He has been instrumental in promoting IKEA’s new sustainability direction, as well as supporting cross sectoral initiatives in different fields across the globe, dedicating his purpose driven leadership to contribute to a more sustainable world always aiming for tangible impact and visible movement. He is currently engaging in a rich variety of non-profit initiatives and business supervisory roles, such as senior advisor for Boston Consulting Group and board member of various supervisory boards, with a particular interest dedicated to the newly launched 'Respect & Dialogue' program that promotes an active dialogue across borders and stakeholders for the realisation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
