Katri Bertram is a senior global health and development professional with 20 years of work experience. She specializes in strategy development and operationalization, donor government relations/fundraising, and advocacy and stakeholder engagement. In her work, Katri aims to ensure that all people can live healthy lives, equity becomes a reality, and the power of inclusive partnerships is leveraged for more impact.
Katri is International Director of Impact and Advocacy at Light for the World International, an NGO for disability inclusion and eye health. She is also a member of the supervisory board of Wemos, an NGO working on health justice, and on the advisory board of BMJ Public Health. She previously worked at the German Federal Ministry of Health, where she was lead for the German G7 Presidency (health track) and health lead for G20. She has worked at the World Bank, where as a member of the leadership team she headed external relations (governance, fundraising, partnerships, and communications) for the Global Financing Facility for Women, Children and Adolescents (GFF), and worked at the World Bank's office in Berlin. At Save the Children, a non-governmental organization with offices in 120 countries, she was a member of the global executive leadership team and headed global advocacy, policy, and campaigning.
