Manfred Dietel

Prof. Dr. Manfred Dietel has been the Director of the Institute for Anatomic Pathology and of Charité, Humboldt-University in Berlin since 1993. He studied human medicine in Hamburg and became Associate Professor for Anatomic Pathology, University of Hamburg in 1983. A full Professor and Director of the Institute for Anatomic Pathology of the Christian Albrecht's University in Kiel, Germany followed in 1989. From 1997-99 he was Dean of the Medical Faculty of the Charité and 2001-04 Medical Director and Managing Director of Charité. From 2007-11 he was named President of the German Society of Pathology. Prof. Dietel has peer reviewed more than 200 article and book chapters and received several scientific awards and honors.
