Advancing Research for Climate and Health

In this panel discussion, thought leaders from across the Global South will launch the "Advancing Research for Climate and Health, ARCH" initiative. This initiative – co-funded by Canada's International Development Research Centre and the United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office – aims to bring research generated knowledge and evidence to the increasingly critical nexus of climate and health.

With a focus on Global South priorities, ARCH places 5 Hubs from each of Latin America and Caribbean, the Middle East and North of Sahara, West and Central Africa, Eastern and Southern Africa, and Asia, as leaders of this global initiative. The aim is to produce impact that matters for people and planet – prioritized, investigated, and enacted by those who feel the greatest effects of our changing climate and environment.
