About the session
Many public health systems disproportionately serve women and children, are staffed by women, but are led predominantly by men.
We know that trust in health systems and understanding of the issues women face accessing healthcare increases when systems are led by women.
We know that women often face worse outcomes because systems focus on men.
We know outcomes during the COVID-19 crisis were better in health systems led by women.
So, how are we going to attract, excite, develop, mentor, support and deploy a new generation of female health system leaders?
