About the session

Technology transfer of medicines and vaccines can be a useful tool to boost supply and facilitate access to prevention and treatment for patients. By sharing learnings of the opportunities and the challenges that enacting tech transfers offer, we hope to increase knowledge and understanding regarding the complexity of such approaches to ensure that tech transfers can be used most effectively to support supply scale-up and sustainable access.

While tech transfer can be seen as a promising solution, the complexities and requirements can be largely underestimated. Successful tech transfer takes time, demands meticulous planning, clear communication, an enabling environment and robust quality control measures.

This session will bring key stakeholders together to discuss the potential for tech transfer, past lessons learned including the benefits and risks and will inform how together we can foster an ecosystem that enables tech transfers and impact for patients.
