About the session
The global health financing landscape is undergoing a profound transformation. Declining development assistance, growing health needs, demographic change, and increasing pressure on public budgets are forcing all stakeholders to reconsider how health impact can be financed and delivered sustainably.
At the same time, new actors—including philanthropic organizations, development finance institutions, private investors, regional financial institutions, and industry partners—are increasingly shaping the future of global health financing. As traditional funding models evolve, public-private partnerships must also adapt to remain effective, scalable, and sustainable.
This session brings together leading global funders, investors, policymakers, and industry leaders to explore how financing priorities are changing and what future partnership models will be required to achieve health outcomes at scale. Moving beyond discussions of funding gaps, the conversation will focus on how governments, communities, funders, investors, and implementing partners can jointly shape sustainable financing pathways and align incentives to achieve long-term health impact.
Speakers will share perspectives on emerging investment priorities, blended finance mechanisms, catalytic capital, domestic resource mobilization, and the future role of public-private partnerships. Bayer will contribute an implementation perspective, highlighting its experiences with global health partnerships and innovative financing pilots designed to expand access to healthcare and advance the Sustainable Development Goals.
The session will identify key principles for the next generation of public-private partnerships and provide a forward-looking framework for financing health impact in a rapidly changing global environment.
