Each year, the World Health Summit in Berlin is complimented by a Regional Meeting in a different part of the world, where local and regional topics come to the forefront. Each meeting is hosted by the WHS Academic Alliance member holding the World Health Summit International Presidency, which rotates every year.
In 2026, the Regional Meeting will be hosted in Nairobi, before moving to Hong Kong in 2027 and Rio de Janeiro in 2028.

The WHS Regional Meeting 2026, hosted by Aga Khan University under the leitmotif “Reimagining Africa’s Health Systems: Innovation, Integration, and Interdependence,” will be held from April 27–29 at the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON). Leaders, innovators, and changemakers will gather to explore solutions that strengthen Africa’s health systems and advance global health progress.
