Since its first edition, the Geneva Health Forum (GHF) has become a space for dialogue and major exchanges between field practitioners, the university hospitals, the public and private sectors, international organizations and non-governmental organizations.

In 2016, several sessions of the GHF were designed in collaboration with the World Health Summit and the M8 Alliance of Academic Health Centers, Universities and National Academies. Faithful to the GHF spirit, the WHS Geneva Meeting offered the opportunity to have an open and constructive debate on innovation in healthcare.

All the sessions were simultaneously translated in French and English.

Call for Contributions -- closed

The GHF is committed in promoting young researchers in this field, and will give a voice to the future leaders in global health. To mark its commitment, the GHF proposes to offer free registration to the three-day forum for all young researchers with an accepted abstract for an oral presentation or oral poster.

This call for contribution is restricted to young researchers and should focus on the forum's main theme:

Sustainable and Affordable Innovations in Healthcare

Applications were requested before December 15, 2015

Each abstract will be selected for an oral poster which will be displayed for the whole duration of GHF plus an oral short presentation of 2 minutes with one PowerPoint slide during a dedicated session of GHF2016. The YoungResearcherGHF16 Award will be given to the best contributions.

Please follow this link for further information on application details, topics, etc. >>>

The “Market Place” Exhibition Space

The exhibition space of the Geneva Health Forum provided the opportunity for exchange after the discussions. On the ground floor, a temporary hospital was built around a red wire focusing on the theme of affordable and sustainable innovation for the hospitals of the future.

Host City

Geneva, the host city of the Geneva Health Forum, is the flagship city in terms of health, with a concentration of expertise on health issues, thanks to the presence of international organisations such as WHO or CICR, but also of NGOs, industry associations and Permanent Missions to the United Nations. Important Swiss public institutions engaged in global health are our partners and hosts.
