German Interministerial Network for One Health

The German Interministerial Network for One Health exists since 2021 and meets quarterly to discuss current issues within the scope of One Health. Various activities, such as strategic workshops, sub-working groups, and a publication (Verbeek et al), characterize its’ activities. A key objective of the German Interministerial Network for One Health is to strengthen cooperation between ministries and different departments on national and international processes. The exchange of information and the development of joint concepts and activities are intended to enable a holistic view of cross-cutting topics and identify potential conflicts of interest. Relevant issues within the scope of the Network are amongst others pandemic prevention, the nexus between climate and health, zoonosis and epidemics, vectors such as mosquitoes, research, antimicrobial resistance.
