Humanity & Inclusion (HI)—also known as Handicap International—is an international NGO and Nobel Peace Prize co-recipient with over 40 years of experience in more than 60 countries. HI supports persons with disabilities and other marginalized populations across development and humanitarian contexts, combining direct programming with technical assistance to strengthen inclusive health systems, humanitarian coordination, and global policy frameworks. HI is a recognized global leader on disability-inclusive health, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, and health equity, applying a human rights–based approach. As a non-State actor in official relations with WHO and WHO Academy, HI contributes to global initiatives such as the Global Report on Health Equity for Persons with Disabilities and the Guide for Action. HI is a member of the WHO’s Disability Health Equity Initiative and serves on its foundational committee.
