Institut Pasteur

Founded in 1887 and based in France, the Institut Pasteur is an international research institute of excellence with a mission to advance science, medicine, and public health. The Institut Pasteur aims to speed up the understanding of various physiological and pathological processes and to develop new strategies for diagnosing, preventing, and treating disease. It is based in Paris, France, and employs around 2,400 people. This includes 1,500 scientists (researchers, engineers, students), within 11 departments and 130 research units.
