As Head of Sustainability at Novo Nordisk, I lead the development, execution, and implementation of the International Operations (IO) Sustainability strategies – supporting our mission to be a sustainable business, that creates value for society and drives future growth.
I am responsible for both the Novo Nordisk Social strategy, focusing on preventing serious chronic diseases and improving access to care for vulnerable patients, as well as our International Operations Environmental strategy, focusing on systemic decarbonisation and advancing plastics circularity. Additionally, I lead our strategic partnership with UNICEF, which centers on preventing childhood obesity.
I bring 20 years of experience in global sustainability transformation strategies, having worked with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), Dow Chemicals, and Zeppelin Silo- und Apparatetechnik GmbH.
I hold an Executive MBA from Bocconi University, have completed the Executive Leadership, Marketing, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program from IESE Business School and earned a Master’s degree in Macromolecular Chemical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
I am a people-oriented leader who fosters purpose-driven work environments. Known for my ethical approach, empathy, and collaborative mindset, I thrive in managing complex global organisations. With professional experience across Europe, North America, and Latin America, I have developed and coached talent from diverse backgrounds and cultures. I am fluent in Italian, English, Spanish, and German.
